Silver Linings in the Covid Cloud A Fireside Conversation 
with Kim John Payne and Bonnie River

Kim and Bonnie will engage in a conversation about both the stresses and the gifts of the past year. With practical suggestions and possible actions as an emphasis of the exchange, these two experienced parents and adult educators will embark on a lively and engaging exchange of ideas about the times we are in and how we could respond. Through helplessness and hurts, new opportunities are arising. Our children need to see the deep resilience and rising spirit in us as a guard against pessimism and depression. This presentation will have two parts, a Ted-talk like exchange about stages, ages and needs of children at this time followed by an open-ended conversation with you participants. 

Who is Kim?
Kim John Payne is a consultant and trainer to over 110 U.S. independent and public schools, Kim John Payne, M.ED, has been a school counselor, adult educator, consultant, researcher, and a private family counselor for twenty seven years.  He also authored the #1 Best Seller Simplicity Parenting.

Who is Bonnie? 
A grandmother of six, Waldorf Teacher of 40 years, Bonnie has learned a lot in life and is one who knows how to Rise Strong (ala Brene Brown). Bonnie teaches Philosophy, and Child Development for Gradalis. She has strong and resilient relationships that span 40+ years with her colleagues and has traveled the world in her working life. For now, Bonnie loves her home and family in Truckee. She is staying close to “home” to write and publish her first book.
