Bucks For Clucks, What a FUN-draiser!
As we build our long term home, we focus on our values which include family, action, freedom, imagination, and mindfulness, and fun! We also focus on our programs that lead to lifelong learning––these include, but are not limited to, gardening, raising animals, farming, arts, science, outdoor education and health and wellness.
This summer, we’ve moved forward with “hatching” our very first fundraiser for this home, which embodies the best that the freedom of summer has to offer––imagination, teamwork, fun, and chickens!
We aren’t able to raise real, live chickens just yet, but together as a community, we’re putting together a “virtual” chicken flock. Did you know chickens have wonderful individual personalities? They do! Each of our egg-ceptional students will "raise" their chicken by creating their own virtual poultry personality, and gathering sponsors to contribute to reach the levels that follow the steps it takes to raise a real chicken. All children who want to participate can add their chicken to the flock, contributing to our very own chicken community, all the while getting us that much closer to our fundraising goals!
